Where is the line between playing and working?
In this project I tried a new way of working, to find out where
my associations and ideas would lead me to. Having experienced
that by time pressure and being fixed to an intent of design creativity
can be disrupted, the wish for release in my work grew.
I wanted to merge into it, to be present and focused and
pay attention to apparently accidental intuitions. The film
“rivers & tides” about Andy Goldsworthy led the way.
sparse and empty…..but hidden treasures all around
I walked in the woods where I met air, winter,
frostiness, mist, trees, bark, beech-nuts, moss…
I gathered it all.
I viewed and admired, then cautiously varied,
connected and translated the treasures.
It became a dialogue with beauty,
a collection of jewellery.
